A calm, beautiful game where you play cards of real birds across three habitats, and every bird you place makes your later turns stronger. There is almost no conflict: everyone builds their own preserve and points are counted at the end. An excellent first modern game for people coming from classic games.

Setup
Each player takes a preserve board, 5 bird cards, 5 food tokens and 2 bonus cards. You must discard one bird card for each food token you keep, and vice versa: you keep 5 items in total. Keep only one bonus card.
A turn
On your turn you choose exactly one of four actions: play a bird from your hand, gain food from the birdfeeder, lay eggs, or draw bird cards. The last three also activate the powers of the birds already in that row, from right to left.
End of the game
The game lasts four rounds, each one shorter than the last. At the end you add up bird points, end-of-round goals, bonus cards, eggs, cached food and tucked cards.
